The Camisole - or cami is a woman's undergarment which covers the top part of the body, from bust to the waist. More commonly than not - camis are sleeveless. Camisole straps are usually found on full-figure bras. (This type of strap is actually an extension of the cup, and give a smooth shoulder line). A camisole is sometimes worn cropped allowing the navel to say “hello”, yet more often that not - covers the entire torso/tummy area. Camisoles are manufactured from a large number of fabrics although cotton materials are the most common. A camisole may be worn over a bra or not... Some camisoles come with a built-in (underwire, shelf,…) bra or other support which eliminates the need for a bra.
